Hello All,
Unfortunately today’s notice is not a pleasant one, as we must announce the cancellation of this year’s Perth Games Festival. While we cannot go into specifics at this time, we were not satisfied that the event could be run this year at the standard the Perth community deserves.
But fear not, the Perth Games Festival will return in 2020! We believe it is better for us to spend additional time on it to ensure PGF continues to be a fantastic event that showcases the games of Western Australia.
In making this difficult decision, the Let’s Make Games committee has been mindful of the importance of PGF to local game makers. As such we will also be running a smaller showcase event soon to ensure the student developers of Western Australia have a venue to gain feedback from other developers in WA, so please keep your eyes open for that.
Although the Festival will not be going ahead in 2019, we greatly appreciate all the hard work the organising committee put in behind the scenes. We would also like to thank all of you in the wider games community for your support; we will be back with more great events and experiences for you in the future.
