It is not uncommon for indie developers to take on multiple creative roles in order to complete games on a small budget. Yet despite our penchant for multitasking, the audio aspect of game development can still come across as quite daunting. Cue Make a Noise! – an 8-week course on sound production for creatives from various backgrounds, including game developers, to come along and level up their audio production skills.
Make a Noise! is a free course presented by the City of Perth’s Northbridge Piazza that provides hands-on experience in producing, mixing, and sound design within the industry-leading software for live sound and music performance – Ableton Live. The course will be led by Perth Composer, Sound Designer and Ableton Live Certified Trainer, Josh Hogan, who brings a wealth of knowledge having composed for film and games, live theatre, and dance.
