2012 Freeplay Awards are now open for submissions

The Freeplay Independent Games Festival is fast approaching, and the Freeplay Awards are now open for submissions.
We grabbed the following dates from the official announcement and promptly entered them into our calendar:
  • 23rd July, 2012 – Awards submissions open
  • 20th August, 2012 – Submission deadline
  • 5th September, 2012 – Announcement of shortlisted projects
  • 19 – 23 September, 2012– Freeplay Independent Games Festival
  • 23rd September, 2012 – Freeplay Awards Ceremony
If you have released something worthy in the last 12 months, don’t be shy about submitting your project. If you haven’t released anything recently, maybe this is motivation you need to test, polish, and release before the submission deadline!

More information is available on the Freeplay website.

Meteorite Games Showcase Tonight

The winners of our Facebook WUP?! pollMeteorite Games – are hosting their game showcase tonight at Spacecubed. After a month of collaborative goodness the Meteorite team will have a lot of fresh work to show off.

They will be running a tournament of their multiplayer PC game, Eternal Tournament, as well as some presentations about their game and their future plans.

Why don’t you go check out their Facebook event page and see what else they’ll be up to tonight, as well as directions for those who have not yet had the pleasure of visiting the innovation space at Spacecubed.
