The Freeplay Festival is Australia’s longest running independent games festival, held annually in Melbourne. Along with the weekend conference, the festival is responsible for the Freeplay Awards, a games competition open to all Australian independent developers, artists and students, with categories including Visual Art, Technical Innovation, and Non-Digital Game.
Submissions to the Freeplay 2013 Awards are now open, and close September 8th. Entry is free. Details for eligibility and entry can be found at the Freeplay Awards website.
