Perth Global Game Jam 2013 starts TOMORROW Friday 25th January 5pm

Global Game Jam is just one sleep away. We’ve got a record number of registrations this year so be sure to get in early to claim your space, it may be a bit tight! If you’ll be battling the Friday traffic to get to the venue, the keynote video will be shown at 6pm, theme revealed at 6:30pm, and discounted pizza at 7pm!

If you aren’t making games but would like to check out the event, a good time to visit would be at 5pm Sunday 27th January when the teams are giving presentations of their game after the 48 hour gestation period.

If you missed it, here are the details again:

  • Venue: ECU Mt Lawley (see map below). Building 16, Rooms 104 &105
  • Date: 5pm Friday 25th January to 6pm Sunday 27th January 2013
  • Entry fee: Money donation at the door
  • Food: Light snacks and drinks provided, there is catering if you are interested, and food runs
  • RSVP: on our Global Game Jam local site
  • Parking: Free after 5pm on Friday, and for the entire weekend. Park in bays marked: staff, students or visitors.
  • Internet: Wireless internet available at venue, please see one of the organisers for login details.
  • Bring: Laptop/PC, power boards, extension cords, food, money for food, personal hygiene products.

  • Friday 25th January
    • 5pm: Registrations and set up
    • 6pm: GGJ Keynote and theme
    • 6:30pm: Form teams and start making games
    • 7pm: Dinner – discounted Marco’s pizza
  • Saturday 26th January
    • All day: Continue making games
    • 9am: Breakfast and coffee van
    • 1pm: Lunch
    • 7pm: Dinner
  • Sunday 27th January
    • All day: Continue making games in a frenzied panic
    • 9am: Breakfast and coffee van
    • 1pm: Lunch
    • 5pm: Presentations
    • 6pm: Finish!
