ScreenWest announces changes to Digital Funds program

Following the review of their digital funds programs last year, ScreenWest have announced changes to their Digital Innovation Production Fund, which includes some potential support for games that are attached to cross-platform narrative projects. The announcement and the new guidelines can be found on ScreenWest’s website.

Included in the announcement is a proposal for ScreenWest to commission a report to provide “an overview of the current independent Games Industry in WA to examine both the scale of the industry and the best ways that this industry can be supported, particularly in light of the recent $20m allocated to the games industry by Screen Australia.”

We look forward to seeing an in-depth reporting process on the Western Australian games community by ScreenWest, and will post more details as they become available.
