Ninja skills

We’ve got a few news items today, so we’re just going to chop right through them with our ninja skills. Hi-yah!

Black Lab Games looking for Beta testers

Local game developer Black Lab Games is preparing to launch a beta for Star Hammer Tactics for iPad, and they have put out the call for Beta testers. If you have an iPad or iPad2, want to check out this game before it’s official release, and want to help out a local developer – why not sign up!

Abstract submissions for Game Connect Asia Pacific due this Thursday

Game Connect Asia Pacific 2011 (GCAP2011) is a regional game development conference being held in Melbourne from 12-16 November. Attending a game development conference is a great way to meet like-minded people and often helps to reinvigorate enthusiasm for your game projects.

Abstract submissions to GCAP close this Thursday. If you’re planning on presenting or attending GCAP, let us know about it on the PIGMI mailing list. There may be a bunch of local developers going, and coordinating accommodation or just hanging out sounds like a good idea. 🙂

Melbourne has a great indie scene and is well worth a visit. On a related note, thanks to the team at IGDAM for hosting our Chairperson (Nick) at your event last week. Your pozible funding drive for your end-of-year party is a fantastic idea… which we may duplicate next week with our newly acquired ninja skills (above video related).

Welcome to our latest volunteer

Matthew Dyet (whom some of you might know as Diomades) was a huge help at our last event Show Us Your Bits! and he’s volunteered to help out with our end-of-year party. We salute your stirling effort and support, and look forward to working with you for great, great success. 😀
